Happy Surf sits in the hotel's own harbour, about 300 m from the main building in a straight line (Google Maps listings). The school's directions: walk from the gate straight towards the hotel, take the road on the left in front of it down to the harbour and keep right; if the gatekeeper asks, say you are going to Tarek's windsurf school.
Happy Surf teaches windsurfing, kitesurfing and stand-up paddle and rents equipment, every day from 9:00 to 18:00, and says it can issue an international certificate. It does not say where kite lessons take place, how big the groups are, whether a rescue boat is on the water or what lessons cost, so ask by email or WhatsApp before you book. Families
For families and non-kiters
The Kids Club runs activities and learning programmes for children, with a playground, and a soft animation programme fills the day around the resort; the hotel does not publish the age range. There is a large pool, which the hotel calls its party pool, a wide sandy beach and the private marina, where the diving centre is based.
Non-kiters have a spa with sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath and massages, a gym open 24 hours a day, tennis and squash courts, billiards and table tennis. Meals are buffets at Palm's Brasserie, with Italian dinners at Al Dente and grills at the Marina restaurant; on the all-inclusive package each à la carte dinner is included once a week for stays of four nights or more. The Sky Roof Café and the Sundeck Café on the roof are for adults only, and the B2 Lounge is the hotel's nightclub.
