The resort has two parts: 14 hotel rooms in the main building beside the pool, with breakfast included, and 17 self-catering apartments in three buildings along the seafront, some facing the lagoon and some the garden. The spot
The kite spot in front of the resort
Walk out of the resort and you are on the central stretch of Lo Stagnone, where the spot began and where the bars, restaurants and schools are busiest. Kite Lab's base is 20 to 30 m in front of the hotel: you rig on its watered lawn, a beachboy helps you launch from the water, and there are showers, toilets and a compressor. Sicily Kite School is about 10 m from the apartments.
The shore here faces west, which suits the most common wind directions, and the water stays flat and shallow out to Isola Santa Maria. In summer the thermal usually blows 14 to 18 knots from late morning, while May and October bring more strong-wind days. With your own gear, expect a day fee to use a school's base; Kite Lab's rental price already includes it.
Families
For families and non-kiters
The outdoor pool is the centre of family life, with drinks and quick lunches served at the poolside. The restaurant opens every day, from breakfast to dinner: aperitivo comes with the sun setting behind the Egadi Islands, and dinner, mostly fish and Sicilian dishes, is served on a panoramic veranda or on the lawn. The front desk books excursions, boat trips and car or scooter hire, and the resort rents bikes, canoes and SUPs and offers yoga lessons.
The lagoon in front is for kiting rather than swimming, and no kids club or children's pool is listed; the resort's own listing mentions cots and children's games. Within about 3 km are the island of Mozia with its Whitaker Museum and the salt pans with their Museum of Salt, and San Teodoro beach is a few minutes north by car.

The kite school in front of the resort
Kite Lab teaches private and duo lessons from its base 20 to 30 m in front of the resort, and books rooms here for its students. Sicily Kite School, about 10 m from the apartments, is the other school at the resort's door.
Travel
Location and getting there
The resort is at Contrada Birgi Vecchi 390/B, Marsala, in the Isole dello Stagnone nature reserve, facing Isola Santa Maria. Trapani Birgi airport is 5 to 10 minutes by car and Palermo airport about an hour; Marsala's centre is about 10 km south. A car is handy, as Birgi has almost no shops.
