The spot
The kite spot on the Mövenpick beach
KitePeople has its station on the Mövenpick's private beach, a separate stretch from the swimming beach, about 200 m from the main building. The lagoon is split in two: a sandy downwind area kept for lessons, 0.6 to 1 m deep, and an upwind section for free riders, with a deeper channel and a second lagoon further out. A coral reef along the lagoon's edge keeps the water flat and free of chop.
The beach boys set up and pump your kite, there are storage lockers and chill-out areas, and two rescue boats are on the water at all times. The station opens every day from 9:00 to 17:00 (school website). It is paid separately from the hotel, even on all-inclusive.
Families
For families and non-kiters
The kids clubs take children aged 5 to 12 for daily activities, and there are two children's pools beside the three main pools, partly heated in winter. Adults have a spa with sauna, Jacuzzi, steam bath and a Turkish hammam, a gym and health club pool, tennis and squash courts, and a diving centre under El Sayadin restaurant for PADI courses and snorkelling trips.
The beaches stretch for over 1.5 km on the sea and lagoon sides, with shallow water and a safe swimming zone kept apart from the kite beach. Restaurants include the Palavrion buffet, El Sayadin for seafood on the shore, and the Oasis and Lagoon pool restaurants; there is a daily Chocolate Hour, and a live band at the Gallery Bar in the evening.

Location and getting there
The resort is on a peninsula in the south of El Gouna, about 30 minutes from Hurghada International Airport (hotel figure). Downtown El Gouna, Abu Tig Marina and the golf club are all within 2 km, a few minutes by tuk tuk; Club Paradisio and the Osmosis kite spot are about 1 km further south.
