Tommy Friedl ProCenter is a VDWS kite, wing foil and windsurf station on the southern part of the Three Corners Equinox beach at El Naaba, 30 km south of Marsa Alam airport. It opened here in May 2014, is open all year from 9:00 to 18:00, and rents Core kites and boards, with storage a few metres from the water and beach boys to launch and land your kite.
It works two spots. The bay in front of the station has 20 m of standing sand, then deep water and, beyond the reef, non-breaking swell of about 1.5 m: it is for riders with VDWS level 5. Lessons and less experienced riders use a lagoon 2 km south, with standing areas that vary with the tide and a flat pool, reached by the station's shuttle (€8 a day). Beginner courses run in 3-hour blocks, €360 for 9 hours (October 2026 price list), and a lifeboat is kept for emergencies.

Which course is right for you?
- Never flown a kite: Kite ABC 1 (3 h, €140) to try it, or book ABC 1 to 3 (9 h, €360) or ABC 1 to 4 (12 h, €460) to reach water starts and your first runs.
- Want flexibility: the ABC Event Week mixes three 2-hour lessons with 7 days of rental (€550), and your instructor stays on hand while you practise.
- Finish with the VDWS kite licence (€30, with online theory): rental here needs VDWS level 3 for Freeride gear and level 5 for Hitech gear.
- Riding, but rusty or stuck: the advanced course covers going upwind, jibes and jumps (3 h for €220 or 6 h for €390, with gear).
- Riding without a licence card: a level check by an instructor (€40 to €60) unlocks rental.
- Plan 2 to 3 spare days: the school moves a course start when there is too little or too much wind.
The spot
Wind and conditions at the station
The wind blows side-shore to side-onshore from the left about 80% of the time (school figure), typically 15 to 20 knots. The centre's own answers on Severne's site quote an average of 12 to 20 knots with some days at 25, and name January to May and September to December as the best months. In front of the station, a jetty on the upwind side and the Potato Reef about 200 m out flatten the surfers' bay; a passage about 250 m wide south of the reef leads to swell that builds to about 1.5 m in medium wind and up to 3 m in strong wind, without breaking.
The lagoon 2 km south has standing areas that depend on the tide, a deep, flat pool with room for about 10 riders that does not, and the school's training area with a shade tent. More about the area and the season in our Marsa Alam kitesurf guide.

Safety and equipment
The station keeps a lifeboat that is used only in emergencies, and the Kitepass includes three free rescues a week. Beach boys help you launch and land, and there is a compressor to inflate kites. Rental gear is Core kites and boards in two ranges, Freeride from VDWS level 3 and Hitech from level 5, with harnesses, wetsuits, helmets and impact vests to rent by the hour or the day. The school recommends a long wetsuit from November to March and a shorty from April to October.

Three Corners Equinox Beach Resort is the station's host hotel: the station is at the southern end of its beach, about 700 m from the main building, around 10 minutes on foot. OLA Sportreisen also sends guests of the Sataya Resort, about 900 m to the south (map listings).
