Courses and prices
Element's kite course begins with an introduction: the equipment, basic theory, launching the kite and a first trial flight. There is a version for children under 12, and full rental sets (kite, bar and board) for riders who already know the basics. Lessons take place in the standing-depth lagoon about 2 km north, and the boat shuttle there is included in the course.
The station posts its price list as a PDF on its website; the edition found online is for 2025, so confirm current prices with the station. Online bookings need a 50% deposit by credit card, with the rest paid in cash when you check in at the station, in euros, US dollars or Swiss francs. Cancellation is free up to 21 days before arrival; after that, or if you do not turn up, the deposit is kept.

The spot
Wind and conditions at the station
The station faces the wide bay south of the Soma Bay peninsula, with mostly calm water. The wind comes mostly side-shore from the left: the school says it is usually side-shore in winter and turns side-onshore in summer. Near the beach it is weaker and gusty, because the Palm Royale, the next resort upwind, shelters it for the first 20 to 50 m; from about 50 m out it is steady. On a typical day it starts from the north-north-west, side-offshore, in the morning and turns towards north and north-east later on.
The water gets deep enough right off the beach to start from the shore, which suits windsurfers and wing foilers; for kite lessons the school moves to the shallow lagoon about 2 km north instead. Beginners never have to fight the gusty wind by the beach: courses run in the lagoon, where the water is standing depth and the wind steadier, and the boat takes you there and back. Only experienced riders who can launch and land in gusty conditions should start from the beach. The station stocks kites and boards from Core, Duotone and F2 for freestyle, freeride and wave riding, and works with a pool of equipment, so specific items cannot be reserved in advance.
