For kiters, Element Watersports runs the station right next to the resort, about 250 m from the main building. The catch: the Palm Royale upwind shelters the wind near the beach, so beginners go by boat to a shallow lagoon about 2 km north (included in courses), and only experienced kiters launch from the beach. Windsurf and wing beginners learn right in front of the station.

The spot
The kite spot at Caribbean World
Element's station sits right next to the resort, about 250 m from the main building. The water in front is better for windsurfing and wing foiling than for kite lessons: the Palm Royale, the next resort upwind, shelters the wind, so it is weaker and gusty on the first 20 to 50 m, and the water gets deep enough right off the beach to start a windsurf board from the shore. Experienced kiters can launch from the beach when conditions allow and find steady, mostly side-onshore wind further out, with plenty of room in the bay.
Kite lessons therefore start with a boat ride. The shuttle, included in courses, takes you about 2 km north to a shallow lagoon with standing-depth water and steadier wind, upwind of the Palm Royale. In the morning the wind usually comes from the north-north-west, side-offshore from the left, then turns towards north and north-east during the day and comes side-onshore.
Families
For families and non-kiters
Caribbean World is built for families. The kids club takes children from 4 to 12, and there is a 50 m² outdoor playground, an air-conditioned playroom, a mini disco, a children's buffet and highchairs in the restaurants. The aqua park has water slides, and the children's pool is heated and open all year.
All inclusive covers buffet meals, a late dinner, one dinner per stay in an à la carte restaurant (Italian, Arabic or fish), afternoon snacks and ice cream, and drinks including cocktails and local spirits from 10:00 to midnight. Adults have two heated pools, a wellness centre for guests aged 16 and over (spa treatments extra), fitness, beach volleyball, yoga and Zumba classes, a show in the amphitheatre every evening and a disco for over-18s.
Lessons
The kite school next door
Element Watersports, a VDWS-listed station, teaches kitesurfing, windsurfing and wing foiling next to the resort and runs the boat shuttle to the kite lagoon. If you would rather walk straight into standing-depth water, Surfmotion at the Palm Royale has the big lagoon on its doorstep.

The resort is at km 49 on the Hurghada-Safaga road, at the south-western end of Soma Bay, about 45 km from Hurghada International Airport and about 50 km from Hurghada's centre.
