Which course is right for you?
- Never flown a kite: the Discovery Kite Course covers the spot and wind assessment, kite set-up, safety systems and your first body drags (3 h private or 4 h semi-private).
- Had a first lesson: Intermediate works on water relaunch, upwind body dragging, self-rescue and controlled starts and stops.
- Getting up on the board: Independent Rider teaches speed control by edging, riding upwind and sliding transitions, so you can ride without an instructor.
- Already riding: hourly coaching for jumps, transitions and downwinders, or a freestyle route into powered tricks and kite loops.
- Foilers and wingers: hourly hydrofoil and wing foil coaching, from set-up and trim to waterstarts and flying.
- Not sure: send the school your experience, dates and approximate weight, and say whether you prefer private or semi-private coaching.
The spot
Wind and conditions at the station
The station sits on the beach of Bellagio Beach Resort & Spa, which Kite Marine calls one of north Hurghada's best resort beaches; its beach team gives spot guidance every day. Tour operators describe the beach as sandy with a gentle entry and a large shallow zone, with a smaller stretch of coral reef, and the school's own listing speaks of shallow water at its stations. Wear water shoes near the coral.
Hurghada's wind blows mostly from the north to north-west, usually side or side-onshore on this coast, according to local schools; High Surf & Kite, in the south of the city, counts more than 70% of days above 4 Beaufort over the year. Safety
Safety and equipment
Rescue cover is part of the service for lessons and for independent riders, and the beach team helps you launch and land. Before every rental the team checks your level, matches the kite and board to your weight and the day's conditions, and inspects the lines, bar and safety systems before launch; it can add a supervised session when useful (school website).
Kites, twin-tip boards and wing and foil set-ups are available by session or by the day, as complete sets or single items, though stock varies by station. You can also store your own kites and boards at the station.
Beyond the beach
Island day trips and kite safaris
Daily kite trips leave Hurghada marina at 08:00 and are back around 17:00: a boat transfer to an offshore spot chosen for the day's wind, two riding sessions with beach assistance and rescue cover, and lunch, water and soft drinks on board. Independent riders get the most out of them; newer riders can join with pre-booked coaching, and friends and family are welcome to swim and snorkel.
The 8-day, 7-night kite safari lives aboard a yacht and follows the wind between islands such as Tawila, Geisum, Abu Minqar and Ashrafi, with double cabins, full board, kite storage, a compressor, beach assistance and two rescue boats. Lessons, rental and national park fees are extra (school website).

Bellagio Beach Resort & Spa is the hotel the station works from: an all-inclusive resort with an aqua park and a kids club, about 400 to 450 m from the station to the main building on the map listings. Kite Marine's other stations are at Jaz Aquamarine in south Hurghada and at Jaz Casa Del Mar Beach in the centre.
