The water is what draws people here: on the windward side of the station, about 20 m out, a standing area about 2 km long and 600 m wide is 30 to 60 cm deep depending on the tide. Beginners and freeriders have separate zones, kiters are kept apart from windsurfers, and rescue boats are ready. For about two and a half hours around low tide part of the sandbank dries. The school has not put its price list online yet: ask by email.

Courses and prices
Surfmotion builds its kite courses on three things, in the school's words: the VDWS and IKO guidelines, the character of the spot and your own needs. Courses are split into modules, so the content matches your level and you pay only for what you need, from the first steps with the kite to your first jumps. Windsurf courses are built the same way, and wing foiling is taught too.
The price list is not online: the school's prices page says it will be published soon. Ask by email for current course, rental and storage prices before you travel.

The spot
Wind and conditions at the station
The kite zone lies on the windward side of the station. About 20 m from the beach a sandbank forms a standing area about 2 km long and 600 m wide, 30 to 60 cm deep depending on the tide, which makes first runs, staying upwind and new tricks feel safe. Around low tide part of the sandbank is dry for about two and a half hours; the open kite area behind it is still there for riders who can manage deeper water.
The main wind is from the north. Until 10 or 11 am it blows slightly offshore, then it settles side-shore from the left with more strength and is usually steadiest until 2 or 3 pm; later it eases or keeps going until shortly before sunset, depending on the season. Safety
Safety and equipment
Because the spot is so big, the school divides it twice: a beginner and teaching zone and a freeride zone, and separate areas for kiters and windsurfers, to keep the two sports out of each other's way. Rescue boats stand by if anything goes wrong.
The station has a kite store with plenty of room for your gear, a compressor so you do not have to pump, and space to rig and to park kites during breaks without getting in the windsurfers' way. Rental equipment is available for every level.
